Friends & Links: Anthony Tognazzini
Anthony is one of the most talented writers I ever met or read. His short stories are full of dry humor and absurdities. For a few years, Anthony hosted Prague's longest continual English language poetry reading called Beefstew. See some of his writing at: www.anthonytognazzini.com He's is also an excellent songwriter and musician. His songs are so lyrics-intensive, that it takes a lot to catch all the double or triple meanings and metaphores. But that makes them all the more interesting and rewarding. Anthony and I share a Birthday and this wouldn't be all that significant, if we weren't so obviously on the same frequency. Another "typical Aquarius". He's one of the first people who gave me encouragement to pursue my creative plans and a heavy dosage of inspiration. I was lucky to have people like Daniel, my husband Jim or Anthony dropped in my path at the right time. If it wasn't for their "Yes, you can." there would be no art, no writing, no Helping Paws. We often play Anthony's tape while driving our car and everytime, he makes me laugh. It's all there. |
Anthony
now lives in New York, but this picture shows our last hug before he
left Prague. This photo inspired the whole idea of collecting
"hug pictures" with my friends. It's all there. With so many of my
friends only briefly living in Prague before moving on, it proved to
be a good idea.
