"What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies."
Aristotle (384-322 B.C.)

Daniel Kupsovsky

Daniel KupsovkyWhen seeing this picture, one woman asked me immediately: "Is this your boyfriend?" When I said "No," she added: "But he should be." Well, he's not, but he's my lucky star.

Daniel has been my dear friend since we were teenagers. Besides my husband, he's the person who most influenced my development and he's largely responsible for opening my creative aspirations. As Aristotle put it, single soul dwelling in two bodies.

We have very different livestyles, different careers, but astonishingly similar personal development. We seem to come to the same conclusions at the same time. I rememeber a case when I sent him an e-mail after a few weeks of no contact and as the mail was leaving my Outbox, I received his out-of-the-blue e-mail with virtually the same content. I learned that with Daniel, nothing is ever really out-of-the-blue, there are no accidents - our relationship simply defies all statistics of probability.

But I also carry a great respect for his many talents. He's a good singer, who travelled much of Europe with a famous children's choir. Being a child of two musicians, music was his primary art. He's always been my best-ever dancing partner and it's too bad he didn't have the time to develop his musical ambitions yet. When I was learning English, Daniel became my buddy for practicing - his language skills just astound me and he's a really handy travel companion, especially when you try to order cafe latte in Paris. Daniel also writes well and has a great talent for making up stories just before he falls asleep.

But by profession, he's a film editor and multimedia artist. Multimedia seems like a very appropriate field for someone with so many talents. I think we can expect some very interesting projects coming up from his workshop. Check out his extensive portfolio of fim work at:
